PowerEarth won the RailCorp tender to design the electrical and earthing system for the Berowra Switching Station. The Berowra Switching Station was a critical infrastructure upgrade for RailCorp providing access to a needed Ausgrid bulk supply point at Berowra.
The scope was to provide engineering design documentation and an installation technical specification for the works necessary according to the Station Design Brief. This included design for construction of a new RailCorp 66kV switching station, combining two RailCorp 66kV feeders 829 and 830 and a newly established Energy Australia 66kV feeder 849.
PowerEarth completed all electrical design functions in house covering, soil resistivity testing, 66kV cable current split analysis, earthing system design, outdoor switchyard design, SCACA, security, cable routes, protection, and MEP. We design coordinated all civil structural design disciplines for a turn key design package.
