Pietro Kumarapperuma is one of our Graduate Electrical Engineers at PowerEarth.
He grew up as the eldest of his family but is the second youngest of all his cousins. He was always mature for his age and spent most of his time around adults.
Pietro attended a high school in Sri Lanka called Lyceum International School. He spent his time here doing outdoor activities such as swimming and basketball. These activities helped his cooperation skills with people from all different backgrounds. At swimming, he earned his rank as a deputy prefect for the under-19 swimming squad.
Pietro excelled at school. He taught himself things from basic math problems to complex rocket science before the concepts were taught at school.
He gained familiarity with computers, strong qualitative skills and experience with projects. All his learnt skills assisted him to develop sharp analytical abilities.
These analytical abilities provided him with the needed confidence to tackle macro problems.
After graduating from high school, he chose to invest in himself. He decided to improve his knowledge in the field of electrical engineering. He attended the renowned, University of Wollongong.
Pietro arrived in Wollongong in 2016 and has enjoyed every minute of it. He would spend his time watching movies with friends and camping on weekends.
Four years onward, Pietro graduated university. He received a first-class honour specialising in electrical engineering.
After university, he considered doing a postgraduate degree. He had also received guidance from his professional contacts for career options. Soon enough, he had received an email from us at PowerEarth Technologies, where we offered him a role. He accepted the proposition.
Currently, Pietro is looking forward to applying all the skills he has gained over time. He is eager to bring about even more exciting opportunities at PowerEarth.
