Sea Gas owns and operates the 700 km natural gas pipeline system connecting Port Campbell, Mortlake and Adelaide.
PowerEarth was engaged to assess AC corrosion risks in the final section near Adelaide. The soil resistivity is very low in thise area and AC corrosion may result from reltaively small impressed voltages.
PowerEarth’s role also included developing a safe work method statement to control earthing related hazards during pipe excavation, inspections and tests.
