The Goldfields and Agricultural Region Water Supply Scheme services more than 100,000 customers, farms, mines and other enterprises. The main conduit remains one of the longest freshwater pipelines in the world.
PowerEarth was engaged to prepare an AS/NZS 4853 assessment of the EPR and LFI risks due to coupling between the main pipeline and nearby power system assets. This was a large study considereing the effect of 58 power lines however innovative test and analysis methods allowed PowerEarth to successfully provide the client with a concise dataset highlighting the risk profile of the pipeline along with recommended work practises to address the risks.
